Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb whole, fresh Brussel Sprouts
  • 2 3 second sprays Avocado oil Spray
  • 2 tablespoon Gochujang
  • 2 tablespoon Honey

Yuzu Aioli Sauce

  • ¼ cup Mayo
  • 1 teaspoon Yuzu juice (or lemon juice if you don't have Yuzu)
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Aminos
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon fish sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Sesame Oil

Instructions

  • Make sure brussel sprouts are clean and dry.
  • Preheat Air Fryer to 400℉.
  • Cut the very end of the Brussel sprout off, but just the very end to freshen up the stem. (Don't cut too much off because this stem holds all the leaves on! :))
  • Cut sprouts in half.
  • Put sprouts in a large bowl and spray for 3 seconds with Avocado spray oil. Toss them and then spray one more time.
  • Toss sprouts to make sure they are evenly coated with oil.
  • Add sprouts to preheated air fryer set for 12 minutes.
  • Every 3 minutes, shake the basket.
  • Continue until sprouts are browned and crispy.

Sauces

  • While the sprouts are in the air fryer, mix up the sauces.
  • For the Gochujang glaze, mix together the Gochujang and honey. Set aside.
  • For the Yuzu Aioli, whisk together all ingredients.
  • Spread Yuzu Aioli in a thin layer on the platter that will be used for serving the brussel sprouts.
  • When the sprouts are done, put them back in the bowl and toss them with the Gochujang glaze until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the Glazed sprouts on top of the Yuzu Aioli on the platter.
  • Serve and watch them disappear! :)

Notes

Notes:

  • To make this dish vegan, simply use avocado, or vegan mayo, leave the fish sauce out of the aioli, and substitute 1Tablespoon brown sugar for the honey.
  • To fry the brussel sprouts in a traditional hot oil fryer, fill a large stock pot with 1 inch of oil. Bring the oil to 375°F. Fry the sprouts in 2 batches for a couple minutes, stirring with a strainer occasionally. When sprouts are golden brown, turn off the burner, and use a strainer to remove them from the hot oil. Place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil, and then follow the recipe to glaze and serve.
  • Enjoy! :)
