Lavender Syrup

This recipe uses just a few ingredients and is so easy to make! It is and sweet and lightly floral. It can be used in anything from whipped cream, to your morning latte, to a happy hour cocktail! It will last in your fridge for up to a month, and always good to have on hand!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Honey
  • ¼ Cup Fresh lavender or 2 tablespoon Dried Culinary lavender
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  • Bring the water, sugar and honey to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Once it starts boiling, turn the heat down to medium and boil lightly for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, remove from heat and add the lavender and pinch of salt.
  • Let it steep for 20-30 minutes.
  • Strain the lavender out and let it cool completely.
  • Add the syrup to a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to a month.

Notes:

  • If you would like to keep it Sugar-free, you can use Monk fruit sweetener in place of the sugar and eliminate the honey. 
  • This recipe is delicious with both fresh or culinary dried lavender.
