- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- ⅓ Cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1 tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 Pinch of Salt
Bring water to a boil over high heat.
Once it is boiling, turn heat to medium so that it is boiling gently, and add brown sugar.
Let it boil gently, uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
After 5 minutes, remove it from heat and whisk in the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla and salt.
Whisk it all until the syrup is smooth.
Let it cool and then pour it into sealed glass container and refrigerate. It will be for about 1 month. Enjoy! ♥️
Notes:
- If you don't have pumpkin pie spice, you can use 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg ½ teaspoon ground cloves, ½ teaspoon ground ginger.
- Make sure you use Pure Pumpkin Puree and not a pumpkin pie filling!
- This would make a great gift to someone special (teacher? friend?) bottled in a pretty glass container and put in a basket with a locally made mug, candle and some of your favorite coffee beans!
