- 2 shots of espresso
- 1 cup Whole milk or half and half
- ¼ cup lavender syrup (see recipe in notes)
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 dollop of whipped cream
- ¼ teaspoon fresh or dried culinary lavender for garnish (optional)
Bring the milk to a simmer over medium low heat.
When it comes to a simmer, add the lavender simple syrup and vanilla.
Use a milk frother if you have one, or a whisk to whisk vigorously until foamy.
Brew two shots of espresso, or about ⅓ cup of very strong coffee and pour into a mug.
Pour the foamy lavender milk over the espresso.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with dried or fresh lavender.
Enjoy!
Notes:
- Make the Lavender Syrup with this recipe.
- To make this dairy free, use oat milk or almond milk.
- If you don't have an espresso machine, make a very strong cup of coffee in your coffee maker. It won't be exactly the same as espresso, but the same idea and also delicious.
- For a decadent addition, make lavender whipped cream! To make this, add 2 tablespoon lavender syrup to one cup of heavy whipping cream. Whip it, until you have whipped cream to your desired thickness. Add it to your lavender latte for an extra level of yum!
- Enjoy!
