This Ginger Simple Syrup is simple, made with only 3 ingredients! It is just whole fresh ginger root, sugar and water! It is naturally vegan, gluten free and dairy free and is a delicious addition to any cocktail or mocktail, stir fry, pound cake, you name it!

This truly is the Easiest Ever Ginger Simple Syrup. Not that any simple syrups are difficult to make. They are all basically sugar, water and a flavor of some sort. This one is particularly easy because you don't have to peel the ginger. I know that sounds a little ridiculous, but peeling ginger can be a bit of a pain in the boot. So, not having to peel it is definitely a bonus! You certainly can peel it, if you would like, but I don't feel that it makes much of a difference in the end product. If you can make it just as delicious with less work, then why the heck not?!

Fresh Ginger Root.

What would make this recipe even easier is if you use the water that was used in my recipe for Spicy Sweet Candied Ginger in place of the regular water. In this case, all you have to do is simmer this ginger infused water with some sugar and there you have it! Otherwise you just have the one extra step of chopping the ginger, which really is a piece of cake.

What to do with Ginger Simple Syrup...

I think probably the most obvious use for Ginger Simple Syrup is as an addition to Soda water to make ginger ale. This is delicious and so much better than the artificial kind you can buy! Another classic way to use it is in hot tea. You could also pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it. Later, you can put a cube or two in your lemonade or iced tea to add a gingery sweetness. The sweet and spiciness of the Ginger is so good and warms you from the inside out. You can also use it in frostings for cakes or cookies, or add a little powdered sugar and make a glaze for gingerbread. Wow, doesn't it warm you up just thinking about it? YUM.

I hope you try this recipe! It truly is the Easiest Ever Ginger Simple Syrup and so worth making. I would love to hear from you in the comments below. How did you use it? Thank you and thank you for visiting Mollie in Montana~*! โ™ฅ๏ธ
