Whipped cream vodka is key in this beautiful Chocolate Creamsicle Martini! It is creamy and lightly sweet with orange and vanilla flavors and a touch of chocolate. It is rimmed with cocoa powder and edible gold glitter for delicious chocolate orange flavor with a sparkly presentation. Finally, it is finished with a beautiful orange rose ice cube. It is a perfect cocktail for anything from engagement parties and bridal showers, to Christmas parties, or valentines day. No matter the occasion, it is a beautiful and delicious cocktail sure to surprise and delight!
What you will need
- Whipped Cream Vodka
- Cointreau, Grand Marnier or Tripe Sec- or another orange liqueur of your choice
- Heavy Cream- We use this because heavy cream won’t curdle in alcohol, unlike lighter dairy like half and half and milk. If you would like to keep it dairy-free and vegan, you can use coconut cream instead.
- Chocolate cocoa powder, either use a sweetened cocoa, or if you use an unsweetened cocoa, add powdered sugar to sweeten up the bitterness.
- Gold Glitter! I bought mine at Walmart, but you can also buy the same one HERE on Amazon. 🙂
How to make the Orange Ice Cubes
These orange ice cubes add such a beautiful touch to any cocktail, and they are so easy to make.
- Fill a large cube ice cube tray half way with water. I used one like this.
- Next, use a good peeler to peel around a whole orange, similar to how you would peel an apple in one peel.
- Now, start at one end and roll the peel up tightly.
- Hold it in place and set it in one of the ice cube spots. They will unroll a little as you release them into the water, but not to worry! It makes them all a little different and that is what makes it fun!
- Continue until you have as many rose cubes as you would like! Typically you can get 2 roses from one orange peel.
- Freeze for about 2 hours until frozen.
- Use in any cocktail or mocktail. Enjoy!
How to Make this Creamsicle Martini
On a plate, combine the sweetened cocoa powder and the edible gold glitter. Gently mix them together.
Cut a slice of orange, and run it around the rim of the martini glasses so that the rims are wet.
Now, roll the rims of the glasses in the cocoa powder and glitter so that they are thoroughly coated in chocolate and sparkles. Set them aside while you make the martinis.
In a martini shaker, add a cup of ice, plus the whipped cream vodka, cointreau and heavy cream. Put the lid on and shake, shake, shake it until the shaker gets frosty!
Strain the shaker into the 2 martini glasses. The glasses won’t be completely full, but they will fill up when you add the orange ice cube.
Add your orange ice cube and serve right away! Well, maybe take a couple of pictures of these little beauties, and then go serve and enjoy!
Cheers!

- 1 Tbsp Sweetened Cocoa Powder
- ½ tsp Edible Gold Glitter
- 2 Orange Cubes
Orange Ice Cubes
- 4 Oranges
Instructions
- Place Cocoa powder and gold glitter on a plate.
- Take a slice of orange, and run it around the rim of the glasses so the rim is wet.
- Roll the rim of the martini glasses in the cocoa powder and gold glitter until the rim is coated.
- Place vodka, cointreau and cream in a cocktail shaker with about 1 cup of ice.
- Put lid on and shake cocktail shaker until it is frosty.
- Strain the Liquid between the 2 martini glasses. They will only be about half full, but they will fill to the top when the orange cube is added.
- Gently add an orange cube to the glasses.
- Serve (take some pictures!) and Enjoy! 🙂
Orange Ice Cubes
- Fill a large cube ice cube tray halfway full with water.
- Use a sharp peeler to peel one entire orange in one peel. Go slow, it is just like peeling an entire apple in one peel!
- Cut the peel in half so you have 2 long sections of orange peel.
- Roll them up tightly and place them in the ice cube trays. Continue this until all the spots in the tray are filled.
- Place tray in freezer for 2 hours or until cubes are frozen.
Notes
Notes:
- You can also use Vanilla Vodka instead of Whipped Vodka if you have it. The flavor will be similar.
- You can use unsweetened chocolate powder for the rim, but if you do, add a teaspoon of powdered sugar as well, otherwise the chocolate will be very bitter.
- Have fun… Cheers! 🙂
